The photoshoot
My favorite part! During your session, I’ll guide you with natural posing and prompts while leaving room for candid, authentic moments that showcase your personality. Depending on your session type, we may incorporate multiple outfits and backdrops, or keep it simple and timeless with one look such as your cap and gown.
02
Planning & booking
Together we’ll plan out the details, choosing locations that reflect your personality, outfits that make you feel confident, and any props or meaningful touches such as sports gear, instruments, or cap & gown. A retainer and signed agreement officially reserve your spot, and the remaining balance is due after your session.

CONSULTATION
Let me know if you’re interested! Seniors often come with a vision for their session, whether casual and natural, bold and stylish, or a mix of both. Graduates may simply want timeless cap & gown portraits. Either way, you can share with me here!
04
delivery
Within 2-3 weeks (or up to 4 weeks during the busy fall season), I’ll edit and curate the best images from the session, and provide the finalized, high-resolution images via an online gallery. These photos will be perfect for graduation announcements and keepsakes, and they’ll be memories you and your family can treasure for years to come.
SENIOR & GRADUATE session FAQs
-
Yes! Natural light studios are available upon request for an additional fee (I don’t own my own). Studio prices vary since each has its own hourly rate, but I’ll share a few local options for you to choose from.
-
Yes! Travel is included for locations within 25 miles of Augusta. For anything further, a travel fee of $0.65 per mile applies.
-
Kansas weather can be unpredictable, but don’t worry, we’ll reschedule if needed. I keep a few backup dates open just in case. Sometimes, if it’s light rain or moody skies, I love embracing that look too!
-
I don’t cap the final gallery. You’ll receive all of the best edited images in color, along with a selection of black & white edits. I’m a little too indecisive and love surprising you with more than you expected!
-
Yes! Rush editing is available for $90 if you’d like your gallery delivered within 3–4 days instead of my standard turnaround. Just let me know at booking or at least a week before your session.
-
It’s best to book at least 2–3 months in advance.
Summer Sessions (May–August): Inquire during your junior year to secure your spot.
Fall Sessions (September–November): Inquire as early as June 1st — these are the busiest months and fill quickly.
Winter Sessions (December–February): Inquire during the fall to book your preferred date.
Spring Sessions (March–May): Inquire in January for spring availability.
Graduation Sessions are scheduled seasonally. Fall sessions in October–November and spring sessions in March–April. For spring graduation sessions, please allow enough time for editing and ordering invitations. With a 2–4 week turnaround, I recommend booking a date around 6–8 weeks before your graduation so you’re not rushed to order and send out invites.

Think about how much variety you want. The Simple Senior is quick and meaningful, The Classic offers a relaxed pace with two outfits and two spots, The Signature gives the most flexibility and creativity, and The Experience spreads your story across all three seasons of senior year.
-
You’ll get style guidance before your session, but my biggest tip is to wear outfits that feel like you! If your package includes three outfits, my favorite combination is: a classic white outfit, a dressy look, and a personality outfit that shows off your hobbies or unique style. This mix gives you timeless portraits, polished shots, and fun images that highlight who you are right now.

For girls:
A classic, solid-colored dress in a short or midi style always photographs beautifully. Aim for classy and formal, and avoid busy patterns or bright neon colors so the focus stays on you. I also recommend a fresh pair of heels or wedges. Shoes are a staple in graduation photos! For guys:
A button-down shirt with dress pants or chinos looks sharp and timeless under your gown. If you prefer jeans, choose a dark, fitted pair for a polished look. A crisp white shirt is always classic, and finishing with clean, well-kept shoes pulls everything together. -
Absolutely. Each senior package includes a set number of outfits, and I’ll guide you so transitions are smooth and we maximize your time.
I also bring along a pop-up changing tent and a full-body mirror to make things easy.
Please note: outfit changes are not included with The Simple Senior or Cap & Gown sessions.

For seniors:
Yes! Sports equipment, musical instruments, pets, books, or even a car. Props are a great way to show off your personality and make your session unique. For graduates:
Absolutely! Bring anything that celebrates your accomplishment and school pride, such as:Cap and gown
Tassel and cords
Diploma or diploma cover
Balloons or confetti
A bottle of sparkling cider or champagne (for celebratory shots if you’d like!)
If you’re graduating with your master’s, doctorate, or another advanced degree, you might also want to bring:
A hood or stole specific to your program
Professional tools of your trade (like a stethoscope, law books, or teaching materials)
Your thesis, dissertation, or a meaningful book connected to your field
-
Of course! Having a parent, sibling, or close friend along can help you feel more comfortable. If you’re graduating with a friend, check out my Graduation Group option too.
