  • Whether it’s for a date night, anniversary, “just because,” or even a simple engagement session, couples photos are a sweet way to celebrate your story.

This season of life is full of anticipation, joy, and deep connection, and I’ll document it exactly as you are. Maybe you just found out you’re expecting and want to announce it, or maybe you want to mark this chapter together before your big day. Whatever the reason, these sessions are about capturing your love in its most authentic form.

  • These sessions are about more than just the bump, they're about the people waiting on the other side. Whether it’s your first or your fifth, we’ll document the love that surrounds this amazing and new life.

I aim to keep things natural and easygoing as we celebrate your family’s next chapter. We’ll get a variety of shots with everyone involved, and of course, some sweet solos of mom.

Ideally, it's best to schedule your maternity session between 28 and 34 weeks, when the bump is beautifully prominent and you're still feeling comfortable.

  • Whether you’re celebrating a big milestone or planning a cake smash, this session is designed to capture the joy and personality of your little one turning one. We’ll document it all: milestone portraits, outfit changes, whole family shots, and of course, the cake (if you're bringing one)!

I love focusing on the little details in these sessions: the tiny hands, squishy toes, side profiles, and all the expressions you’ll want to remember forever.

Studio available upon request (additional fee).

The photoshoot

My favorite part! During your session, I’ll guide you with gentle direction while also letting natural, candid moments unfold. My goal is to create a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere where you feel comfortable and connected.

04

delivery

Within 2-3 weeks (or up to 4 weeks during the busy fall season), I’ll edit and curate the best images from the session, and provide the finalized, high-resolution images via an online gallery. You’ll have photos that you and your family will cherish for generations to come.

PORTRAIT session FAQs

  • Yes! Natural light studios are available upon request for an additional fee (I don’t own my own). They’re a great option for first birthdays, maternity, winter sessions, and more. Studio prices vary since each has its own hourly rate, but I’ll share a few local options for you to choose from.

  • Yes! Travel is included for locations within 25 miles of Augusta. For anything further, a travel fee of $0.65 per mile applies.

  • Kansas weather can be unpredictable, but don’t worry, we’ll reschedule if needed. I keep a few backup dates open just in case. Sometimes, if it’s light rain or moody skies, I love embracing that look too!

  • I don’t cap the final gallery. You’ll receive all of the best edited images in color, along with a selection of black & white edits. I’m a little too indecisive and love surprising you with more than you expected!

  • Yes! Rush editing is available for $90 if you’d like your gallery delivered within 3–4 days instead of my standard turnaround. Just let me know at booking or at least a week before your session.

  • No, I don’t offer family mini sessions. Family sessions are always full-length so we have enough time for variety, connection, and all the groupings you’ll want. Minis are reserved just for kids or for my themed seasonal events.

  • The sooner, the better! I recommend giving yourself at least 3 weeks to plan outfits and feel prepared, but ideally about 2 months in advance. If you’re hoping for fall photos, keep in mind that weekends fill up FAST. I open my September–November calendar in June.

For spring and summer, booking 1–2 months ahead usually works well. If you need a specific date or are coordinating multiple families, the earlier the better. Weekday evenings can also be a wonderful option since they’re easier to reserve and less crowded at popular locations.

That said, feel free to reach out last minute and check! I sometimes have openings come up.

  • Absolutely! Pets, meaningful items, or a cake smash for first birthdays add so much personality to your gallery. Just let me know ahead of time so I can plan accordingly.

  • Yes! While I don’t shoot weddings, couples sessions are perfect for simple engagements.

  • I’ll send you my full outfit guide once your deposit is received and agreement is signed. It includes tips for families, couples, and kids so you feel confident and prepared.

  • Yes! In-home sessions are some of my favorites because they tell your story right where life happens. Whether it’s cozy couch snuggles, reading with the kids, or celebrating milestones like a first birthday, these sessions capture real moments in a meaningful space. I’ll use the best natural light available and guide you into moments that feel natural and authentic.

  • Outdoor sessions are scheduled around sunrise or sunset for the best light. In the evenings, I typically begin one-hour sessions about 1.5 hours before sunset for that soft, golden glow. Morning sessions are also an option, especially for little ones who are happiest earlier in the day, though they do start fairly early — usually shortly after the sun comes up. For in-home or studio sessions, mid-morning is usually the best time.

Part of my style is highlighting the beauty of the sky in your photos, so I don’t overexpose it. This makes sunrise and sunset the perfect times to capture both your family and the scenery in its best light.

  • No, I typically do not.
